I have 800 things I need to do today. I just don’t know where to start. Clearly blogging should not be on the list. But it sure does sound like more fun than cleaning. Speaking of cleaning, I don’t like it. I mean, I like a clean house, I just don’t like work. I am lazy. Very lazy. So, just know, if you ever just “stop by” my house, it will not be clean. My mom always had a little sign that said something about I cleaned yesterday, you shoulda seen it. Yeah right. Kinda like our Free Beer Tomorrow.
Yesterday I was vacuuming the living room and trying to figure out where to vacuum next. Well, Audry was a step ahead of me. She had it all planned out for me. So…the dining room was next.
A little piece of advice for you too. Do you ever feel lonely? Bored? Just wish you had SOMETHING to do? Well, I have a simple solution for you. Have a kid…or three…or seven. You will never again have a dull moment. No time to even think about wishing for something to do. Your laundry will never be “done”. Your floor will never be clean. You will never again feel lonely in the bathroom, because you will have visitors. Your shirt will never be completely clean by the time you leave the house. They should probably come out with “Mom bibs” to catch all the baby stuff that gets all over us. Do you like watching movies? Well, if it’s PG-13 or above, you can forget it. You will have to pause it 87 times and by the time you get to the end, you won’t even remember what movie you were watching to begin with. Either that, or if you wait until they are asleep late, late at night, you will probably be so tired you’ll fall asleep in the middle of it. So, be sure to really enjoy those previews.
Side note…I believe my sweet, angel of a baby aka Audry has hit her “terrible 2’s” at approximately 16 ½ months. She’s an overachiever. She now just screams and cries for no reason. And, if she doesn’t get her way she has her fit-throwing position. However, unlike other fits, she just lays there like this (I will have to post a picture later, I can‘t find it!). No screaming, which is hilarious. But the screaming, crying, body throwing, demon possession is ridiculous. Whatever. Even funnier is when I’m in some strange position with her letting her cry or giving her marshmallows to try to calm her down (you know, whatever works) and Gage asks, “What are you doing?” I love that, because I always say, “I don’t know.” I hope lots of other parents feel that way too. Because I pretty much feel that way 99.9% of the time.
And the hot topic. Casey Anthony. I did not keep up with her trial. I know few details. I do not watch the news because it is always depressing. I can get depressed all by myself. I don’t have the energy to worry about people I do not now, nor will I ever, know. HOWEVER, I will give my opinion because this is my blog. All I read now is hatred towards her. I understand the negative feelings people should have towards anyone who harms (however extreme) a child. But, I have to ask, were you there when this sweet child was killed? I wasn’t. The only one who knows is God, and the person who did it. Whoever that may be. So, whether you think she did it or not, you should pray for her. If she did it, she needs prayers for many reasons. And, if she didn’t (as the jury says), she needs prayers for other reasons, like all the people who have hatred in their hearts towards her. Send her love and light. Pray that she asks for forgiveness if she did it. Leaving your porch lights on doesn’t help anyone but the electric company.
And lastly, here’s proof that B and I have the absolute cutest kids ever…
Remember, I told you I was a mess from the beginning.

Welcome to my silly life...mistreated, misplaced, misunderstood.
I don’t usually blog about things that are really and truly personal. I am sure I will one day. I need a place to vent. I think I would surprise a lot of people with the things I keep in this head. Well, maybe if I could only remember half of it.
Tracy Lawrence once told me that “you find out who your friends are”. Well, I have to say he was absolutely right. I know I don’t really have a best friend, or any real group of good girlfriends like most people do, but I still feel that I am a good friend. At least, if you let me. I just don’t have the greatest social skills, or a good line of bs to keep you entertained. HOWEVER, I would do anything for someone I consider a friend. I have recently found that I have a dear friend and I just keep telling myself, “I KNEW IT”. I tried to thank her profusely, and can only hope she knows I mean it. I am forever in her debt.
My father-in-law is in the hospital. He had major heart surgery and is now in ICU. That’s the only real detail I feel comfortable sharing for now. He has been in the hospital since this past Wednesday. Needless to say this has been a trying time for everyone. I have learned a lot more about a person’s heart than I ever thought I’d know. I also never thought I’d be so excited to hear my father-in-law say “Gimme some sugar”. But I was. Beautiful words. It has been such a rollercoaster of a week (and it hasn’t even really been a week). I have learned many things about many people (that I will keep to myself - for now). I have also learned a lot about myself, though these things are not necessarily “news” to most people. I am too tenderhearted and sensitive, take things too personally, and give too many people the benefit of the doubt. I run myself out of breath taking up for them, only to have them let me down within seconds. Well. Well. Well. What a deep subject.
I have also learned that my two girls are TROOPERS. They have sat through (wallered through, climbed furniture through…) countless hours in the hospital waiting room. I am glad they have been able to be there for a distraction for the family and friends hurrying up to wait…
I have been in search of some words of wisdom tonight and want to share a few quotes that spoke to me tonight…
--To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.
--Don’t waste your breath proclaiming what is really important to you. How you spend your time says it all.
--Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least.
--It isn’t the mountain ahead that wears you out, it’s the grain of sand in your shoe.
And just a couple of random thoughts I want to leave you with. First, I am nearly 31 years old and STILL do not feel like a grown-up. I’m beginning to think there’s no such thing. Second, I am more in love with my husband than I have ever been. Third, I hate it when I make my kids cry.
Good night from a tired, tired, hot mess of a mama.

It's either in your blood or it ain't...
It's either in your blood or it ain't...
For starters, the red carpet show was beyond boring with the nerdiest hosts ever. The highlights of that hour I wasted were that Trey Fanjoy won for directing "House That Built Me" and "Who are You When I'm Not Looking". good for her. Oh, and Jennifer nettles saying she was doing to sue Justin Beiber for all the screaming.
Boring so far...then Taylor Swift starts the awards... I'm SO OVER her. Ugh. The little Thelma & Louise spoof idea was cute, but would have been better with Miranda Lambert and Sheryl Crowe. Although, Ron White wearing one of "Alan's" shirts from hangover 2 was hilarious. Now for my random thoughts during the awards..
I wish my Kenny Rogers had never thought he needed plastic surgery. :(
Um, this Naomi still loves her some Wynona. She even got feather extensions to try to be like me.
Ludacris at the CMT awards?! Huh?
Good for Rascal Flatts grabbing some Beiber Fever for themselves. But GEEZ, couldn't they get him to pull up his pants?! Seriously!
The Band Perry...one of my favorites.
I am not a Luke Bryan fan. Country pop sell-out is all I can think of... But, I do believe he borrowed some of Dwight Yoakam's spraypainted on pants.
Dear Hines Ward, thank you for showing me a cowboy hat cocked to one side. I have no words, but it did make me smile.
I BIG puffy heart Gary Levox.
I appreciate the artist that is John Rich, but I like him much better with a little Big Kenny by his side.
Gretchen Wilson's face does no match her body. Think she'd trade with me? Bodies, not face.
If you missed Colt Ford, I am so sorry. You should cry yourself to sleep tonight.
Sheryl Crow...can I have your legs and voice? Thanks.
Zac Brown, I gotta get me sone of those glasses. And I still just wanna squeeze you, even if you're losing weight.
Laura Bell Bundy...you had the best lines of the night. I wanted to post them, but I deleted the DVR too soon. Hilarious!!
Hey, girl in Lady Antebellum, dye your hair back blonde and lose the spandex.
How cute are Lauren & Scotty?
I TOLD YOU Kristian Bush could sing!! I <3 Sugarland.
Loved KR's line about redneck mating call. He would know! I'm pretty sure he lives in Pine Hill Community. Just saying.
What a way to make an entrance Shania. She was probably smokin up with Kid Rock backstage.
Taylor Swift winning video of the year is REDONKULOUS!!! I'm convinced only 12 year olds vote on here.
Dear Jason Aldean, WHY IN THE WORLD did you not get Colt Ford to do the rapping on the song he and Brantley Gilbert originally did together?!!!!! I am very disappointed with you tonight. You better be glad you're cute!
WHY WAS ERIC CHURCH NOT NOMINATED FOR ANYTHING???????!!!!!!
Please disregard any typos, as I am sending this from my phone because Cobridge has decided I can go MONTHS without Internet service because they do not feel like showing up for appointments.
Some beach...

They'll be draggin' the river, but they ain't gonna find a thing...
For some reason I am very list oriented. I make lists of ideas, lists of things to do, lists of things we need, lists of things I want to accomplish, etc. So, I'm sure there will be a trend in this blog (boring as it has become). Here is a list of some things I've been thinking about lately...
1. Why is there no "Bell Pepper Powder" on the spice aisle? I wonder this on nearly a daily basis.
2. Why has no one opened a Concession Stand restaurant? You know, where they serve the most nutritional nachos, hot pockets, baked potatoes, sour straws, M&Ms, popcorn etc. They could even add in the great Fair/Festival foods such as elephant ears, funnel cakes, corndogs, curly fries... I think I'm onto something here.
3. Where do I sign up to get Suzy Homemaker to send me her weekly lesson plans? Does anyone have her email address? Or maybe she's on facebook?
4. Who is this "Calgon" I keep hearing about and where are you all going? I wanna go.
5. Why haven't I heard a great song about backporch sitting? I'm thinking Jacob Lyda, Blake Shelton or Colt Ford needs to get on this.
6. We found a BABYSITTER (two actually) !!!! Woohoo!!! I don't usually put really personal things on here, but I am VERY excited about this. Our kids have only ever had grandparent "sitters". Date night here we come!
Well, there you go. Some deep thoughts for your weekend. Enjoy! <3

Turn the quiet up...turn the noise down...
It has been too long since I filled your mind with senseless information. I will get to that later, but for now I wanted to give a little business update. I keep getting asked to make things and I really do not like saying "no", so here's the scoop. I am taking a break until March. Yes, I know that's probably too long, but September-December was the absolute best time for this little business I call Tutu Sweet Boutique. You guys were truly awesome to me. Then I realized I have not made things for my girls I have been wanting to make since I was pregnant with Audry. While today is January 24, and I still have not done any of the things on my "to do" list for them, I WILL. :) I am going to also take a shot at making some items "in stock" so maybe I won't get completely swamped. We'll see if I stay on top of this. I will also be launching a new facebook page just for my business. This will help me stay much more organized. Hopefully. So, if you have any item(s) that you think would be good for the in stock items, let me know. What are your thoughts also on maybe having a trunk show? You know, like having a few friends over for some snacks and shopping? I could probably come up with some sort of incentive program like the big businesses do. This is one blog I would like lots of comments on. Or emails, or calls.
THANKS!
THANKS!
